FAQs for The Arts Center's Online Season 20/21
- What is a virtual event?
We use the phrase "virtual events" and "online events" interchangeably. In both cases, they mean that the artists and audiences members/participants will be connecting remotely. The platform may vary between Zoom or other teleconferencing platforms, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or other social media platforms, or something else. We believe that even as we can't gather in person, these virtual events can provide deeply meaningful artistic experiences.
- Where can I find the link and instructions for the event ?
Upon reserving a ticket, all guests should receive a confirmation email from us confirming the ticket transaction. Guests will then receive a reminder email from us prior to the event detailing the distribution of the link for the event and instructions on where and how to access the performance. Links to watch the performances will be sent no later than one hour before the event.
- What platform are your online events hosted on?
Most events will be hosted through our website; however, some performances may require guests to access a specific streaming platform which may vary by event. The detailed information for each event will be listed in the Ticket Information area on each event page on our website and in the email reminder sent prior to an event.
- What are the streaming requirements and what web browser should I use?
You will need to have a steady internet connection, a device (desktop, laptops and tablets are preferred) to participate in or view the performance. We'd also advise using an up to date web broswer whether that be Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari or other.
