How does the inside reflect the outside? Self, image, identity, and physiology exist in complex relationships. In an attempt to chart them, this program moves back and forth across the membrane of the skin, from the worlds within the cell, to the medical states of our bodies and minds, to the social and perceptual systems that influence how we appear to eachother. The films in this program vary in form from documentary procedural, to psychodrama, to dystopian infomercial, but all are united in their insight into the apparatuses that mediate between our internal and external realities.
